2015 Shepherd Express “Best of Milwaukee” finalist for “Best Acoustic Musician”
I am a 22 year-old acoustic singer/songwriter from Waukesha, Wisconsin, and a senior biology major at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee. It is my dream to be a professional musician and someday open my own animal rehabilitation center or be doing my own research to benefit animals in some way. I am a 3 year in-a-row Summerfest performer, 2 year Bastille Days performer, and 1 time Wisconsin State Fair performer. The music video for the my new single off my new album “All Seasons” was just released. The single is called “When I See You” and features some great Milwaukee scenery.
I started playing guitar when I was 13 years old. My dad, a local musician as well, has been in bands for as long as I can remember and he is currently in a 2-piece band called Advance. Additionally, he plays guitar and sings, and my mom plays flute in our third Sunday church service. One day my dad left his green Guild guitar on his bed, and I picked it up and asked him to show me how to play some things. He agreed and he even made little chord diagrams on post-it notes for me. I remember being in 8th grade, and being so excited to come home and play an “E-chord”. I was hooked ever since. Soon after, I started playing shows and thinking about music as a career in 2014 when I played 107 shows after hearing the advice “play as much as possible.”
I describe it as “family friendly folk with pop hooks”. My shows include covers from the 60’s up, radio hits, and of course my original music. Additionally, every show is “family friendly, fun, and entertaining.”
If you enjoy my music, like me on facebook, subscribe on YouTube, and don’t be a stranger. I’d love to see you at a show sometime.
All the best,
